Mibs can hardly wait for her thirteenth birthday, because thirteen is when each person in her family receives a supernatural power, a “savvy”. Her grandpa could move mountains, her brother could create hurricanes. But right before her thirteen birthday, Mib’s father is injured in a car accident and she thinks that her new savvy will be to save her father. She gets on a bus to try to get to the hospital, but ends up heading the wrong direction with an assortment of interesting characters, for an adventure unlike any other.
